There is another class coming up with Jackie Waters this Friday, 4/6 at 6:30 at the Sylvan Learning Center. I thought I would let you all know an update on how my family is doing with the “couponing quest” since the class! Sunday we went shopping and had to buy a lot of EVERYTHING. The fridge and pantry were all completely bare! So we spend about $340 and saved roughly $85 with Jackie’s tips and the coupons we had found. We have groceries and supplies (paper towels, dog food, etc), though, for about 3 to 4 weeks for a family of 3, which I think is pretty good. Today I had to pick up a few things for my son’s Easter Party at school on Friday and decided to get a few extra things that we use regularly that were on sale. I spent $18 on $30 worth of groceries—almost a savings of 50%!
So I think the class is working. I’m interested to see how we are doing after a full month of hopefully staying on track. Please know that I don’t get any kind of payment for mentioning Jackie’s class! I just think it is wonderful resource that we have in our area to have the class and someone who is interested in teaching these easy ways to save!
