The construction for the new Publix located at the corner of North College Street and Shug Jordan Parkway is coming right along! This picture was taken on Wednesday, 11/2/11.
The new Publix will be an excellent addition to the neighborhoods on the north side of town, including Asheton Park (less than a mile from the store), The Preserve, Tuscany Hills, Tuscany Village, and Camden Ridge. It’s exciting to see this infrastructure going into our community. Clearly the business investors are still eyeing Auburn and Opelika as great places to invest their dollars, which in turn means that residential real estate should remain strong as well.
Two more large commercial tracks of land listed by Prudential Preferred Real Estate just went under contract as well. One parcel is on E. Glenn Avenue, just down from the new site for The Church of The Highlands. The other parcel is on Rock Fence Road, just up from the Moores Mill Golf Club.
