
Ready to get your swing on? This summer, the Opelika Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting a free concert series. Come out at 7 p.m. to the Muncipal Park in Opelika to enjoy a variety of fun musical entertainment including Gospel, Jazz, R & B, Praise and Whorship, Oldies, Big Band Swing, Folk, and Community Band music.
Hamburgers and hotdogs will be provided for a nomial fee, cooked by the Opelika Band Boosters. Food will be avaiable from 6:15-7:30. So bring a blanket and enjoy a little picnic before the show! Charter Bank of Opelika will provide complimentary lemonade during the concert. Kona Ice will also be available for purchase at each event and The Rocky Brook Rocket, a vintage train with a long, rich history, has been restored and is back on the tracks for complimentary train rides.
Get there early and make a night out of it. All ages are welcome. Be sure to bring chairs, blankets, and whatever you need to enjoy a relaxing evening of enjoyable music and community fellowship.
