REIA TEAM

RYAN
I am originally from Remlap, just outside of Birmingham, and graduated from Huffman. I have lived in Auburn since 1997. During my time at Auburn University, I managed CheeburgerCheeburger and met my wife, Charity. After graduating with a degree in Management Information Systems, I decided to stay in Auburn and became a full time realtor in 2004. Charity also works in real estate as the CFO of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Preferred Real Estate.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy off road riding and exploring the outdoors in our UTVs! Charity and I enjoy traveling with friends to camp and ride RZRs.
Where is your favorite place to travel?
Windrock in Oliver Springs, Tennessee
What do you love most about living in Auburn/Opelika/Lee County?
It has that small town feel but still has everything needed amenity wise. There is always something to enjoy year round with the university being here. It is a great place to raise a family and a place where "Southern Hospitality" is still alive and well.

ANNIE
I am from Faunsdale, Alabama and grew up about seven miles out in the country from "town" on a dairy farm with registered Jersey cows. After grauating high school from Marion Military Institute, I went to Auburn University and graduated from the College of Agriculture. After Auburn, I returned to Faunsdale and worked with my family on the dairy. During that time, I met my husband Brycen.
Brycen is the co-owner of Ecological Insulation and a builder in the area. He encouraged me to get my real estate license, not realizing what he thought would be my hobby would turn into my favorite career!
Brycen and I have a son, Rankin, and a daughter, Ella. Both keep us laughing and busy! Ryan and I teamed after Rankin was born in 2008 to combine strengths to better serve our clients. Rankin is all about fishing & football. Ella loves most sports & animals!
Any pets?
Miss Susie the poodle, Honey the beagle, and Lucky the cat.
What are your hobbies?
Reading, running/exercising, gardening, cooking out with friends.
Where is your favorite place to travel?
Tybee Island/Savannah, Georgia, and the beach.
What do you love most about living in Auburn/Opelika/Lee County?
This is such a welcoming place to live. People are always willing to lend a hand in times of need. It is called the "Auburn Family" for a reason. Also, there is ALWAYS something fun going on: free concerts, farmers markets, 5Ks, or some sort of festival! And you just never know when you are going to run into Aubie.

SAM
I'm from the Oak Mountain area of Birmingham. My formal education took place at Briarwood Christian followed by Auburn University, where I studied Business Management. My informal education consisted of working as a trim/finish carpenter on Smith Lake. My hobbies are hunting, mountain biking, spending time with Hank (my yellow lab), and enjoying good live music.
What is your favorite thing to hunt?
Duck hunting with my dog Hank-or turkey.
What is your favorite kind of music?
I listen to everything! Favorite artist? Probably Tyler Childers.
What do you love about living in Auburn/Opelika/Lee County?
The people of Auburn are what make it such a special place to me. Everyone is always willing to help, and the city as a whole has a strong work ethic. It is encouraging to live in a place where small and large businesses all thrive.

MEGGAN
I was born in Opelika, Alabama, and graduated from Dadeville High School. While attending Amridge University, I worked in banking locally for eight years. For the last seven years, I worked for a law firm coordinating real estate transactions and closings in the Auburn/Opelika/Lake Martin area. My husband Jay and I have been married since 2007. We have two sons, Porter and Parker, and a lively labradoodle named Charlie. My hobbies include cooking, hiking, traveling, and enjoying good music.
Where is your favorite place to hike?
I LOVE hiking north Alabama as well as parts of east and north Georgia. I also love traveling to the beach and Blue Ridge Mountains and hope we can one day go to Europe.
Is there something you like to cook especially?
I love cooking Italian dishes and putting together party food like charcuterie trays.
What is your favorite kind of music?
My favorite music is indie/folk, 90s country, and classic rock.
What do you love most about living in Auburn/Opelika/Lee County?
I am excited to be raising a family in a community as lovely as Auburn. It's a great place for kids and just a very solid community in general.

MORIAH
My hometown is Wedowee, Alabama, where I grew up on a farm that's been in my family for generations. I went to Handley High School and then Troy University. My husband Blake and I have been married since 2015. We love traveling and spending time with our two insanely spoiled fur babies.
What kind of pets do you have?
Our cat, Darryl, is a gray tabby who loves to beguile the unsuspecting into rubbing his belly and then- without warning or mercy- turn on them viciously. We also have a dog, Clover- a goldendoodle and the most beautiful, brilliant, and angelic creature on all of planet Earth! ( I'm a dog person, in case you can't tell.... My ultimate life goal is to own a few hundred acres and fill them all with old/unwanted/disabled rescue dogs!)
What's your favorite place you have travelled?
Ireland. Hands down. I like exploring new cities and experiencing their cultures (i.e., foods), but I'm DEFINITELY more partial to those out of the way places where the people are grossly outnumbered by sheep and the roads- if they're paved at all- are paved in cobblestone. You know, the kind of place where you have terrible reception but are too mesmerized by the views to care? Savannah is also pretty high up on the list- it has the cobblestone streets AND is super dog friendly! 🙂
What do you love most about living in Auburn/Opelika/Lee County?
I've lived in some tiny little towns as well as a handful of bigger cities, and to me, Auburn is the perfect happy medium. It has that hometown vibe but with so much more culture and vitality that you find in a lot of smaller towns. The people are warm and friendly, and there's a genuine sense of community and caring for one's neighbors. We are a town that still practices the golden rule and where southern hospitality is alive and well!
