Opelika Parks and Recreation have lots of fun events for the entire family coming up in the month of February!
February 12th – Young at Heart Valentine Dance
This event is for those ages 50+. The fun will begin at 6 p.m. with a delicious dinner. The dance will begin at 7 p.m. and will last until 8:30. Admission is $15 for singles and $25 for couples. Reservations are required by February 1st.
February 13th – Friday Night Drop-In Sweetheart Dance
The excitement will last from 7 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. for this event. The Opelika Sportsplex and Aquatic Center will be decorated and transformed into a balloon-filled wonderland for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. Attendees are asked to dress in their Sunday best clothes, and they are welcome to come and join in on a night filled with music and dancing. A king and his court will be selected by Friday Night Drop In members and presented at the dance. Special entertainment is provided by OZZ. This is event is open to Drop-In Members only. Admission is $5 for singles and $8 for couples. An optional picture package will be $8.
February 14th – Dandy Dads Dinner Dance
This event will take place from 6-8 p.m. and will be a special night out for fathers and daughters of all ages. The night will feature dining, dancing, and loads of fun. There is limited seating, so reservations are required. The music for this venue will be provided by OZZ. This is a great opportunity for fathers to enjoy the company of their daughters to spend quality time dancing and laughing. Admission is $30 per couple with $5 extra for each additional daughter. The price includes a meal, corsage, and boutonniere. An optional picture package will be available for $8.
