December 1st is drawing near; here are some ideas to kick start your holiday cheer!
Residents’ Holiday Shopping Night: Head over to the Auburn University Bookstore on Tuesday, December 2nd from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. for some holiday shopping and a night of fun. This event will feature a hot chocolate bar, holiday cookies, a secret sale, one night only discounts, free gift wrap, present giveaways and more. Join the event on Facebook to be entered to win great prizes. Afterwards, stroll the streets of beautiful downtown Auburn to see the festive Christmas décor!
Gingerbread Village at The Hotel at Auburn University: This unique holiday celebration will kick off with the unveiling of the famous Gingerbread Village on December 4th at 5 p.m. Guests are invited to gather in the conference center to enjoy delicious hot cocoa, cider, cookies, and the special sounds of a bell choir, while admiring picturesque Auburn re-created in the Gingerbread Village. The framework of the village in constructed in partnership with Auburn University’s College of Architecture, Design, and Construction and the Master of Integrated Design and Construction Program. High-definition LiDAR technology was used for the houses’ frame work.
Auburn Christmas Parade: The entire community is invited to celebrate the season with the Auburn Chamber Christmas Parade on December 11 at 5 p.m. in downtown Auburn. The parade, sponsored by Thames Orthodontics, will include Aubie, Santa, Christmas characters, live music and lots of other Christmas favorites!
