Hudson Family Foundation Home Run Derby

November 6, 2014 By Annie

On Friday, November 21st at 6 p.m. the 11th annual Hudson Family Foundation Home Run Derby will take place in Plainsman Park. World Series winner and four time All-Star Tim Hudson and American League All-Star Josh Donaldson will headline this event. Also competing will be seven year MLB veteran and former Auburn All-American Gabe Gross along with 13 year MLB veteran and current Auburn hitting coach Greg Norton.

A minimum of $5 donation is requested at the gates. All of the proceeds will go to the Hudson Family Foundation. With every $5 donation, chance to win tickets will be issued to each attendee. Auburn Diamond Dolls will be accepting donations in the coming weeks leading up to this event as well as at tables set up throughout the stadium. Possible prizes to win will include celebrity memorabilia, Auburn and Under Armour items, a golf package from Grand National, tickets to the Hudson Family Foundation concert featuring some exciting artists, and an Auburn Basketball ticket package. This will be a fun night for your entire family, so head out to Plainsman Park to support a worthy foundation and enjoy an evening of baseball!

**The main entrance to Plainsman Park will be open as well as the left field tailgate terrace entrance. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. Fans can park in the Stadium Deck located on Heisman Drive between the football and baseball stadiums. They can also park in the deck adjacent to the Athletics Complex off of Donahue Drive and in the two large lots at the Village off of Wire/Magnolia. Due to that night’s basketball game as well as the football game the following day, fans will not be able to park in the Auburn Arena lot, in the Beard-Eaves Coliseum lot, in the Plainsman Park lot or in the small lot behind the old Dawson Police Building. Fans will also not be able to park in the lot directly behind Public Safety and Security building as it is reserved for Accessible Parking for the fans attending the men’s basketball game that evening.**
