The Market at Ag Heritage Park is held each Thursday during the spring and summer months at Ag Heritage Park on the beautiful Auburn University campus. With only two more chances to visit this open-air farmers’ market make sure you mark your calendar now to head out to this event on August 14th or August 21st from 3-6pm.
The Market
offers locally produced fruits, vegetables, honey, ornamental plants, herbs, cut flowers, stone-ground grains, eggs, goat cheeses, goat milk soaps, baked and canned goods, Alabama-roasted coffee, and other great products you may not find other places. In addition, the Market often features art work provided by local artists, educational booths for education learning, and musical entertainment for everyone to enjoy. Plan a meal and stop by the Market to purchase all your fresh ingredients ready to cook for dinner, or bring the entire family to simply look around and learn a little more about our local growers!
From Auburn University employees and students to local residents and tourists of all ages, everyone is welcome at this public event. Supporting local vendors is a great thing, so be sure to come out during one of the last two dates to support your local community members.
The Market first opened in 2005 and is hosted by the AU College of Agriculture in partnership with the Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station and the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. The Market is open rain or shine unless severe weather poses a danger to vendors or customers.
