The second annual Color Me Auburn 5K will take place August 23rd at 6:00 p.m. This event, presented by the Auburn Student Alumni Association, will feature a fun running route through campus, and participants will be powdered orange and blue during their journey. The awesome thing about this particular run is that you do not have to be a runner to participate! You can walk or jog at your own pace. It’s all about having fun with a ton of your fellow Auburn fans while supporting a great cause. All proceeds earned during the event are donated to student scholarship funds. Last year, the Color Me Auburn 5K raised over $8,000 to help support student scholarships!
Registration is $25 for SAA/AAA members and $30 for individuals. Or get together with a group of 10 or more and save $5. Those interested in being a part of this exciting event can register online or in person at Big Dog Running, the Alumni Center, or at Haley Center on the concourse during the first week of classes at the Student Alumni tent. Participants may also register the day of the event for $35.
Along with your registration, you will receive a packet with some great prizes. The packet includes a Color Me Auburn 5K shirt, a running bib, coupon deals from some of the sponsors, a white sweat band provided by Verizon, and a tote bag for your things provided by Auburn’s Health Promotion and Wellness Services. If you would like your packet early, stop by Big Dog on Glenn, or stop by the Verizon Registration Tent on the day of the event. Registration will begin at 4 p.m. on August 23rd with runners lining up around 5:30 p.m. The Color Me Auburn 5K will be loads of fun for everyone, so be sure to sign up to come out and support student scholarships!
