
Come out to the Louise Kreher Forest Ecology Preserve at 4 p.m. on August 29th for an exciting interactive presentation of reptiles and amphibians from our great state of Alabama and other areas of the country. The trained staff will conduct a one of a kind hands-on learning experience. Admission is only $5 per person, and kids under 3 are free.
About the Louise Kreher Forest Ecology Preserve:
The Forest Ecology Preserve aims to provide a learning experience for all ages. Visitors can find nature trails, natural habitats, along with unique and informational programs, that offer opportunities to learn and relax while surrounded by nature.
Workshops and classes are offered to youth and adult groups. Events take place at the Preserve all year long including summer camps, 5K runs, astronomy nights, geocaching, nature walks, and guided tours. Be sure to check out their calendar to plan an exciting informational adventure for your entire family, or head out to the Preserve on a beautiful afternoon to take a hike and get in touch with nature. With lots of areas to sit and view nature, along with a large interactive play ground for kids, everyone can find a reason to enjoy the Louise Kreher Forest Ecology Preserve.
The Preserve is located at 222 N. College St. near the AU fisheries.
