Don’t miss the Christmas Parade this Friday evening beginning at 5pm. Auburn’s Gingerbread Village will be unveiled Friday, December 6th in the lobby of The Hotel at Auburn University.Auburn’s Annual Christmas Parade will begin at 5:00pm outside of the hotel at the corner of Thach Avenue & College Street. Following the parade families are encouraged to visit the hotel to experience the 2013 Gingerbread Village. In partnership with Auburn University College of Architecture, Design and Construction Master of Integrated Design and Construction Program, students created the house’s frame work using high-definition LiDAR technology. The new buildings for 2013 are the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art and the President’s House.
In this years’ parade there will be an appearance by A Life Size Teddy Bear, holiday elf and the Auburn Bell Choir. This is going to be a fun event the entire family will enjoy. After fun times downtown if you haven’t gone by the National Village Christmas Light Display at National Village at Grand National! Stop by and tune in to the radio station that accompanies the light show. Don’t miss the largest light display in the area. This event is free to the public and starts at dark until January 5!
