Normally I try to write about upcoming events, and I am behind on this one! However I wanted to go ahead and write about it so that you will be sure to add it to your calendar for next year!
Auburn just had its annual Jazz Festival Saturday night at Pebble Hill. This was the fifth year the event was hosted by the Auburn Arts Association. Tickets were only $15 in advance and $20 at the door, and all proceeds go to benefit local schools to help with the costs of art supplies and teachers for art classes throughout the area. In addition to this, the proceeds benefit students in the way of scholarships who want to further their education in the arts.
This is a “bring your lawn chair and picnic” kind of event with a laid back atmosphere. There was a vendor on site grilling burgers, but most people were tailgating with their own culinary delights. The musical line up was Johnny Sansone, Nick Moss and Kristin Diable. All three were super entertainers!
We got a babysitter for the evening, but the event was family friendly as well. I can’t say enough that if you like live music, make sure to get this one on the books for next May! It’s worth penciling in now.
