If you have been thinking about putting your house on the market in Auburn, Opelika, or Lee County but are unsure of the value and what to expect on price, please take advantage of our free market analysis and walk through. Ryan and I do this at no charge or obligation to you, and it will definitely help you move forward with your decision to sell or not to sell. I promise that it will be beneficial to you! Sometimes after meeting with homeowners, a few recommended changes from us help an owner decide that they like their home and just needed a fresh change!

I will tell you that activity as far as buyer who are looking at our listings is going through the roof right now. The fear of 2011 is over; interest rates are crazy low, and people are still moving this area, upsizing, downsizing, etc. The national news does not apply to our market as a whole.

Ryan and I just mailed our yearly analysis out. If this is something you would like mailed to you or emailed to you, let me know, and we will send it. The information is very enlightening and very encouraging!

Have a great weekend,

Annie

Opelika, AL Neighborhood Keeps a Cool…or Warm Tradition!

December 14, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

Tomorrow night (Thursday the 15th) will mark the 44th anniversary of the Collinwood neighborhood in Opelika hosting its annual Luminary tour. The Collinwood residents light more than 15,000 candles to line their streets to remember Christ’s birthday and the reason we celebrate Christmas. There are also live nativity scenes along the street.

A tradition that started in the 1960s, the Luminaries are still a beautiful Christmas experience today. The story goes that this follows an older tradition which began in Mexico. The youth group of the First United Methodist Church in Opelika will be the characters in the nativity scenes.

The tour will begin at the corner of 10th Street and Oak Bowery Road and will end at McLure Avenue. The neighborhood streets are blocked and will remain “one way” from 5 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Everyone is reminded to turn off your headlights and drive slowly!

Merry Christmas!
